I have to almost start laughing at the number of stupid things that are starting to occur injury wise with my body. I am sure some of it has to do with the ever going aging process, and I’m sure some of it has to do with the added stress that my weight is adding to my body. Either way it us getting pretty silly to a degree.
One fun thing that has been occurring since my daughter was born is frequent ear infections. I think since my daughter was born my ear drum has burst at least three times. I tend to know when this is going to happen because it occurs every time I get some type of cold. I understand the mechanics of why it is happening (the theory of congestion, infection, etc.) but I have no idea what it is in my makeup that is contributing to this occurring every year now. I am sure that it is just a coincidence that this started after by daughters birth, but it is just odd that I am having these now in my mid-thirties instead of pre-age 10 like the rest of the average person.
(quick side note: why is it so many people on public transportation are so hygienically challenged?)
The other strange thing that has happened is that I have developed tennis elbow, also known as lateral epicondylitis. Now I don’t play tennis, don’t own a racket, never play golf, etc. It kind of annoys me to a degree that it is called tennis elbow because I feel it minimizes the conceptualization of just how much damn pain this thing causes. Tennis elbow sounds more like just a mild condition that causes a little inconvenience, in reality my arm is hardly useable. I can’t really lift thing, can’t really bend my arm, and half the time I am uncomfortable just trying to figure out how to hold my arm. The reality is it is also very frustrating because I am 98% functional and it is just this one little thing that holds me back.
More to come…
