So quite a few things have happened since I last sat down to even document anything that goes on in my life.
The first is that I received a promotion at work. This is an exciting thing for me because it is a promotion that finally puts me in the “put up or shut up” position I’ve been wanting for quite some time. All of the things that I claim to have learned over the years about what to do right and what to do wrong are now going ot be put to the test. This is also another stepping stone that will allow me to grow as a professional and an individual. Needless to say I’m very excited.
The second actually involves work, because we are moving offices. We’re going from a stand alone building to leased office space in a “real” building. My mind is preoccupied by this move because I’m still acting as the Director of IT for the company and there is a lot to be done in moving all of your electronic facilities from one location to another. Voice lines / Internet / Hardware that runs our business / Hardware that runs our internal network… it’s mind boggling. Every moment I’m at work I obsess over getting cubicles assembled, electronic equipment decommissioned or moved to free up the extra crap we don’t need any more, etc. etc. To put it in other terms, I’m freaking out.
So now we can see what will happen over the next coming weeks to see if my mind truly comes unglued or not. Should be interesting… so join me for the ride if you will.
