Gotta love Mondays. Didn’t want to really wake up this morning but I did. Slipped on the trainers and went at it.
Today was another great workout but I now know more than ever that I am no fan of running in place. Thankfully today wasn’t so much running in place as it was alternating between the running, high knee raises and kick-backs.
Kick-backs are an exercise that amuse me every time I do them. If you aren’t familiar with them let me poorly describe what you do. Imagine walking in place but instead of lifting your knees you are raising you heels up towardd you buttocks. That’s right, kick-backs are an exercise where when done right they enable you to literally kick your own ass!
The knee today was really bad. I had to wrap it this morning which seemed to alleviate the discomfort. I don’t think it isolated from moving whatever hurts. I think the wrap instead just applied pressure in a different place and made me feel that instead of the light pain. I suppose we will see tomorrow.
Now for the good news: after these past 13 days I have lost 3 pounds. I am sure it would have been more had I made better choices food wise but in light of those poor decisions I think 3 lbs. is pretty darn good. I didn’t put the weight on overnight so I’m sure not going to lose it overnight.
